Leah’s poem, “Beautiful Cigar Girl,” was published in Vol. 2 of the print journal, Winter Tangerine Review. The journal features full-color artwork, poetry, and prose, and is published in perfect-bound paperback. The poem—about the unsolved murder of young Mary Rogers, found floating face-down in the Hudson River in 1841, most likely dumped there after a botched abortion procedure—is part of Leah’s forthcoming collection of poetry, The sighs of women becoming, revolving around women who died too young from mysterious, bizarre, unsolved, or suicidal deaths.
